Responsibilities
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading Cherehani Lab’s project (s) from initiation through closure, managing constraints, and achieving project objectives.

- Develop, maintain, and baseline the detailed project schedule. Ensure tasks are logically sequenced, dependencies are identified, and resource allocation is optimized.
- Track expenditure against the approved budget
- Define acceptance criteria and Quality Assurance (QA) standards in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency. Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality gates.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and prioritize project risks and opportunities. Develop and implement risk response plans (mitigation, avoidance, transference). Maintain the risk register.
- Develop and execute a communication plan tailored to different audiences (e.g., daily standups, weekly status reports, steering committee updates). Ensure transparency on project status and roadblocks.
- Act as the primary escalation point for all project issues. Log, track, and drive the resolution of critical issues, escalating to the Directors when necessary.
- Manage external vendors or suppliers, including contract oversight, performance monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of procured goods or services.
- Motivate, mentor, and lead the project team. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Secure necessary resources (human and equipment) and manage their capacity and allocation throughout the project lifecycle. Resolve resource conflicts with functional managers.
- Mediate and resolve interpersonal and functional conflicts within the project team to maintain productivity.
- Obtain formal final acceptance and sign-off on all project deliverables.
- Conduct a comprehensive post-mortem/lessons learned session with the project team and stakeholders. Document best practices and areas for improvement.
- Close all contracts, update organizational process assets, and archive project documentation.
